Do you have any outstanding Road Transport Department (JPJ) summons that hasn’t been paid yet? Then you better pay it before 16 September 2021. JPJ has announced that they will be offering up to 70% discount on all compoundable summonses starting 18 August 2021 to 16 September 2021.
JPJ said that this promotion is held in conjunction with the upcoming National Day and Malaysia Day that falls on 31 August and 16 September respectively. This discount is valid for all active summonses that were issued under the Road Transport Act 1987 (Act 333), Commercial Vehicles Licensing Board Act 1987 (Act 334), and even blacklisted cases.
However, JPJ stated that this promotion will not be applicable for cases that are under mention in courts, have arrest warrants, or are undergoing trial. You’ll need to check the current compound rates in the mySIKAP system for the discounted rate and pay accordingly.
If you’re planning to take advantage of this discount, you can pay your summonses at all state JPJ offices and counters as well as Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) outlets and kiosks. You can also pay them online using the mySIKAP JPJ portal here. Do note that if it’s a blacklisted case, you can only settle your summons at a JPJ office for a documentation process before paying.
