Taking public transport to work can be rather boring and mind-numbing as we’re facing the same old buses and trains every day. But if you’re taking the Rapid KL bus along the Pandan Indah route recently, then you might be lucky enough to have hopped on its Green Bus. If you have then you will be pleasantly surprised to find that they have transformed one of their buses into a nature-filled paradise.
Rapid KL announced that the Green Bus is a new initiative that aims to provide a new and exciting experience for its passengers. If you want to catch the Green Bus, you have to look for the bus on route 300, the Pandan Indah Hub to Lebuh Ampang line. On the outside, it may look like an ordinary bus but once you step inside, you will be transported to what looks like a beautiful forest.
Rapid KL has redecorated this bus with lush greenery, roaring waterfalls, clear blue skies and fish swimming in the lake. They’ve even changed the colours of the seats to fit the theme by using bright green and blue for an immersive experience.
Netizens were charmed by this transformation and liken it to the creative designs often seen on Japanese public transport. Some of them also asked Rapid KL to do the same makeover inside LRTs so that more people could enjoy them. A few said that it should be paired with the sounds of nature to complete the experience.
Hopefully, these new decorations can last for a long time and won’t be subjected to vandalism so everyone can get a chance to enjoy them.
